The Qualstar TLS-6000 series utilizes SDLT tape drives to provide storage capacities from 1.6 TB to 144 TB, making Qualstar SDLT tape libraries perfect for everything from single servers to large, enterprise-wide storage management situations.

There are 7 models in the TLS-6000 family, providing a full range of cost-effective DLT tape library solutions. Customers can choose up to eight SDLT 600 or SDLT 320 or tape drives. To meet the throughput needs of today's growing networks, transfer rates can reach a blazing 2 TB/hour.

Q-Link: Qualstar's Remote Tape Library Manager

Q-Link is Qualstar’s Web-browser-accessed remote library manager. Administrators can now manage their DLT libraries via an intranet or over the Internet from anywhere in the world. Q-Link adds additional functionality, such as allowing the administrator to set up email notifications for key events and to conduct remote firmware updates.

VIOP: Qualstar's Exclusive Variable Input/Output Port

VIOP (Variable I/O Port) is an exclusive Qualstar design feature that is now incorporated into all DLT libraries, complementing the hardware I/O ports of all TLS-6000 models. Users now have ultimate flexibility to match the number of I/O slots to their unique operational requirements, and applications are no longer limited to a fixed number of I/O slots.

Other Advanced Features

Qualstar's TLS-6000 series also offers advanced features such as Logical Library, barcode scanning of tape cartridges, and an I/O Port for importing and exporting individual tapes under application control.

Expandability and Investment Protection

The hallmark of all Qualstar tape libraries is their built-in allowance for capacity and performance growth. Investment protection is ensured with field-upgrade kits that double the capacity of the TLS-6210, TLS-6430 and TLS-68120. For further upgradability options, all DLT tape drive bays are pre-wired, allowing users to easily install additional tape drives as needed.
