Now Supports WORM Technology
Every TLS-4000 tape library supports WORM (write once, read
many) tape technology, which has long been the standard for
document imaging applications where unalterable records are
required. Some federal government regulations make WORM equipped
tape libraries the perfect choice for:

Available With Q-Link Technology
All AIT models are available with Q-Link™,
Qualstar’s innovative Web-browser-based remote library
manager. Administrators can easily configure, upgrade, and
monitor any TLS-4000 tape library through a company intranet
or over the Internet from anywhere in the world. Q-Link allows
administrators to set up and receive e-mail notifications
about key events and conduct remote firmware updates.
VIOP (Variable Input / Output Port)
VIOP
(Variable Input / Output Port) is now incorporated into every
AIT model. VIOP allows users to match the number of I/O slots
to their unique operational requirements. Applications are
not constrained by limits imposed by tape libraries with a
fixed number of I/O slots. Users can assign the number of
slots to best match their requirements. VIOP compliments the
hardware I/O Ports which continue to be included or available
in all models.
Logical Library
Logical Library is built into all Qualstar AIT models, and
allows up to four servers to share a single tape library,
even when the servers are running separate applications. You
can now automatically protect systems that you previously
couldn’t afford to upgrade. To maximize throughput in
direct-attach architectures, support for multiple SCSI busses
is also built-in.
Other Advanced Features
All AIT models support barcode scanning for efficient media
control. Filtered, positive air pressure is maintained within
the tape libraries to eliminate airborne contaminants and
extend tape and head life. The capacity of many units can
be doubled with Qualstar's field expansion kits.
