S Series Backup Appliances
 The
STORServer S Series Backup Appliance combines STORServer's
Win2K server and the STORServer line of dense AIT tape libraries.
The popular Netfinity line of servers and rugged STORServer
AIT S Series tape libraries make this a winning combination.
The scalability of the S series systems truly sets them apart
from the competition.
The three models in the series can handle data requirements
from 80 Gbytes to over 30 Terabytes! The S10000 library starts
at 15 slots and can double to 30 slots in the same unit. The
S20000 scales from 30 slots all the way to 120 slots, and
is available with either AIT-2 or AIT-3 tape drive technology.
Finally, the S30000 tops out a whopping 640 tape slots in
a single rack unit. The S30000 model comes in two cabinets,
while each of the other two models fits in a single 19"
footprint STORServer chassis, or in your own rack if you prefer.
The entry level S10000 is also available as a desk side unit;
perfect for situations where no computer room rack is available.
