The K4000P AIT Backup Appliance is the first of the two cabinet
STORServer K Series models. The server-side of the appliance
can be located in either the customer’s rack or the optional
STORServer cabinet. The tape library stands in its own cabinet.
Large datacenters can easily accommodate their need for tape
drive access to their on-line pool with up to 12 tape drives
in the K4000P.
